Reasons You Are Not Losing Weight- “Common Diet Mistakes”

Eating healthy isn’t very complicated, but for few it’s a fact. When choosing what to eat both quality and quantity need to be considered. The truth is that when you’re “on a diet”, you may be eating a lot more calories than you think. You might not realize just how quickly calories can add up. An extra tablespoon of salad dressing can add 75-100 calories, and that 1 -ounce bag of chips with your sandwich at lunch adds 162 calories. Ladies specially, eating while cooking, finishing off the kid’s plates at dinner and guys having too many glasses of wine or beer- these are just a few of the habits that interfere in weight loss.

Skipping meals on a regular basis confuses your metabolism and could lead to more weight gain in the long term. Some people think that skipping breakfast is a smart way to keep weight down, but the fact is just reverse. Those who miss breakfast eat far more later on in the day than people who regularly eat breakfast. So, here is the solution!!! A breakfast high in protein is the best way to manage your ghrelin levels; a hormone which controls hunger.

Eat fat to burn fat. Are you afraid of eating fat assuming this will leads to weight gain? Then read this!! If you want your body to dip into your fat stores for fuel, you have to shift from burning sugar as your primary source of energy to burning fat instead. While fats are an essential part of a balance diet, it’s important to eat the right kind. There should not be any place for Trans-fat and damaged fats in your diet. Always look for healthy fats from high quality sources such as omega-3 fatty acids and medium-chain triglycerides. Omega-3 fatty acids are not only good for brain health and fight inflammation but also will be your buddy when it comes to burning fat and building muscle. You will get a good dose of omega-3 fatty acids from Walnuts, Flaxseed, Chia seeds, Salmon fish, Tuna fish, Spinach and Cauliflower, Raspberries and Beans.

The medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs in coconut oil can help with slowing aging, improves heart health and nurture your skin and hair. The first think, you have to do in your body transformation programme is that, replace all other oils with extra virgin coconut oil for cooking. MCTs in coconut oil can speed up your metabolism and make you feel less hungry and also helps to burn away fat.

Bottom Line: If things are not happening as per the plan, it means something is wrong. You have to figure it out and re-arrange your diet plan.  You may be out of the track but doesn’t mean you have to be there. Come to the track and start from where you paused. Definitely, it will work out.

Good luck!!!
